Round, light and refreshing, the Daiquiri is a Cuban cocktail made with local light rum, more odious than an agricultural rum, lime and sugar.
In 1898, after Roosevelt's victory at the Battle of San Juan Hill, the Americans were sent to exploit the iron ore mines. Jennings Cox, a miner working in Daiquiri, a small town in Cuba, invented this eponymous cocktail.
Simple in appearance because it only requires three ingredients, it is nevertheless easier to fail than to succeed.
