Ardent Rum is produced from pure organic sugarcane juice from a cooperative in Paraguay. The distillate is then aged for 3 years in oak barrels previously used for Belgian whisky, followed by 3 months of maturation in Muscat de Rivesaltes barrels. A dual character combines the woody, dry side of whisky with the sweet, fruity side of Muscat. A lovely length on the palate, with a hint of vanilla and caramel.
